Entertainment companies that donate to fundraisers

79 companies in our entertainment category have product donation programs for schools, nonprofits, and community fundraisers. Each listing explains what they give and how to apply.

Entertainment companies, from pro sports teams to theme parks, zoos, museums, theaters and orchestras, mostly donate admission passes, autographed memorabilia and team merchandise for raffles and auctions, and you ask through each one's own online form or written request, usually six to eight weeks ahead. Nearly all of them give only to nonprofits in their home region, so the first question is whether your event is close enough.

Sports teams give mostly signed items and merchandise, with tight rules. The Boston Red Sox donate autographed memorabilia to charities operating in New England, one item per organization per year, with at least eight weeks' notice. The Green Bay Packers give items mainly for raffles and auctions that benefit residents of their home state and neighboring parts of the upper Midwest, and do not take requests for specific items or autographs. The Philadelphia Eagles take requests only through their online form, between six months and four weeks before the event, from 501(c)(3) organizations in the immediate Philadelphia region. The Chicago Cubs give for in-person auctions and raffles only, not online ones, and do not provide bulk items for door prizes or goody bags.

Attractions tend to give a set package of admission. The Sacramento Zoo donates four general admission passes to California nonprofits within a set distance of the zoo, requested online at least thirty days ahead with your tax identification number. Hershey Gardens gives four adult admission passes to approved 501(c)(3) fundraisers, favoring central Pennsylvania groups with an educational mission. Universal Orlando donates theme park admission to Florida nonprofits and public schools, with preference for central Florida, at least sixty days ahead and once per calendar year.

Read the submission method before you write anything. Graceland asks for a mailed request on your organization's letterhead and does not accept email or fax, while the Chicago Cubs no longer accept phone, letter or email requests at all. Expect one-per-year limits almost everywhere, keep a copy of your 501(c)(3) letter ready to attach, and if your group is outside a famous team's region, look for the team, museum or theater closest to your event instead.
