The point of a donation request letter is to give donors an idea about your organization, the event taking place, and how donating will benefit them. You are "selling" your organization to donors. They want to know that giving to your organization will actually do good and not just go into the budget. Wrap all of this information up in a personal letter so that it does not look like one of the hundreds of other letters you send out. Take the time to think about how you would react to the substance and formatting of your letter if you received it in the mail.
