Hello,

In order to keep a good atmosphere around the forums I think it would be good to openly state our policy around resellers and solicitation of good/services/customers on the forums.
Obviously many people who are on the forums are resellers of untangle goods and services. Thats great - we want that.
We want to avoid conflicts among resellers and we want new forum members to be welcomed and to get help as quickly as possible with no commercial strings attached.

As such, we DO NOT allow "active" solicitation on the forums.

What is "active" solicitation?
- The posting of your offerings/deals/bargains/new sales etc.
- Responding to a poster's questions with the offer of a commercial good/service/bargain
- PMing users offering your services.

We DO allow for "passive" solicitation.

What is "passive" solicitation?
- posting a link to your business in your signature and the like.

thanks

Hello,

I mentioned this in another thread, and fish suggested that it warranted a thread of its own.

Any time you have any fundraiser that uses an order form, it pays to customize the form so you can add a "Donation" line item. A lot of people are more intersted in helping your cause than they are in buying wrapping paper or whatever it is you're selling. The "donation" line item on the form lets them express this.

The profit margin on that line item is 100%. In our last fund raiser, one individual wrote in $100 there. The first time I did this, one person donated $500 there. Had the line item not been there, the donation would not have been made.

You have not because you ask not. (James 4:2)

thanks

Hello,

My sales have grown lot recently and i wanted to keep track on my feedback requests i send to my customers.

They automate the process based on a custom template which seems really efficient.

I was wondering though, do amazon have any policies or issues with 3rd party companies like this looking after feedback requests?

Im nervous to start something like this that will end up doing more damage than good.

Please Help.

Thanks !

Hello,

Well I crashed and burned on this one. When I was a Pathfinder we went door to door to rasie money, we were not afraid to try and our parents supported us. Everyone involved understood that to do the things we did money had to come from some place. Today, door to door is not as safe as it once was and many parents (fewer youths) understand just how much things cost. We were having a bit of trouble in Osh Kosh preparation as it was started late, so...

...I looked over the scratch card fundraisers that are out there, they all seemed about the same a couple were better. I got samples and discussed it with the staff, exec. staff, and Assoc. Pastor. There was some concern that it would be seen as a form of gambling, in fact some staff saw that way. we voted to go ahead in the end.

I heard complaints about my direct action for the first time in my involvement in Pathfinders. Some people did feel it too much like gambling. Looking carefully it is not, but apparently scratching is just to state lottery like for some.

Second what cost us a couple of thousand dollars and could have raised as much as twenty thousand came in under five hundred. We extended the time and still little result. The Pathfinders just had no self motivation, at all. Even with promise of award and a promise of twenty percent for the TLT Fund did not them moving. I have never seen a group more disengaged.
thanks

Hey everyone!

A really cool idea was mentioned in a fellow Extra Life streamer's channel and I wanted to share this with you. If you have a majestic beard like myself, then this would be something really fun to get your friends, family, and community involved.

It's a tug-of-war between saving or shaving your beard. During your event or even before you can have people donate to you to either #SaveOrShave. At the end of the event you can count up the amount raised for each and whoever raised the most wins. I did something similar to this last year except I had a goal that if I raised $500 during one of my events then I would shave off my beard. Welll... RIP beard because that's what happened. It's a fun incentive that people would like to see especially if you rocking the best of all beards on your face.

Feel free to try this out and let us know your results! I will be attempting this in the near future once I finish my first challenge.

thanks

Hello guys,

I want to fund raise for Parkinson's as my son has it.
There will be a large amount of alchohol AND other good quality gifts for women.
Some people have said that raffles take too long and become annoying. Is there any way I could cut down the time ? Would it make sense to have a raffle AND a tombola ?
I have people who want to buy raffle tickets but are not attending, and some who are not forum members.Do I sell to them too ?

Help appreciated as this is my first time fundraising.

thanks
