Small Nonprofits May Be No-File Tax Exempt Under 501c3
#1
Organizations which have a gross of $5,000 or less a year are able to be considered nonprofits under 501c3 regulations without filing Form 1023, to become a registered 501c3. Now you do not necessarily want an organization to be in this category forever, but it make starting up a nonprofit much easier. Just make sure you send in your organization's yearly 990 form to maintain status. For more information on this topic, along with helpful links, take a look at this weeks blog post, linked above. Also head over to the Ultimate Donations blog for more posts dealing with all things nonprofit.
